Minecraft forge for 1.137/14/2023 So that mod doesn't even have to be updated. the same problem the 1.13 save format fixes. But noone actually cares about how the save format works, other than mods like Just Enough IDs, which rewrite it to fix. Any mod that placed blocks into or read blocks from the world needed to be rewritten.Ī common piece of FUD - yes, actual FUD that people spread without thinking about it, since this was when the 1.13 bad circle jerk was in full swing - is the 1.13 save format is different whch would mean mods would have to rewrite huge portioms of their code. 1.8 also introduced blockstates and kinda-sorta-notreally removed metadata values. That was an internal change that actually did affect mods since every mod that adds at least one block or item uses a model in some way. I think people remember the big "json models" introduced in 1.8. It's a common misconception that each and every one of these changes will omg break mods forever and make updating a pain. Mojang changes things all the time that don't actually affect mods. ![]() I'm not trying to be hostile? sorry of it came across that way. ![]() If you would like more information on FTB then check out our Wiki to see all the current modpacks, and discussions from the community, as well as helpful links!Ĭlick here to get to the Wiki!
